The new construction of the SM31 knows how to impress not only with its size. The true-to-scale design beautifully reproduces the locomotive"s massive proportions and yet offers enough scope for the finest details. Plastic-looking engravings on the front end, fine openwork fan grilles that allow a view inside to the rotating fan, individually attached handle bars and the finest metal railings will convince even the most discerning model railway enthusiast. Inside, the PIKO new design is also at the cutting edge. The locomotive is equipped ex works with a PIKO sound decoder as well as a loudspeaker with maximum membrane surface, which in combination provide an optimal sound experience. With a variety of light functions, such as driver"s cab lighting or shunting footlights, the new PIKO model offers a wide range of play possibilities, which are rounded off by silky smooth driving characteristics and high tractive power.
