Product Info
Sound diesel railcar BR VT 2.09 of the DR, epoch III, including PIKO sound decoder
With the newly designed model of the rail bus VT 2.09 of the Deutsche Reichsbahn, PIKO is responding to an often-mentioned wish of many model railroaders for a contemporary, detailed and operational version of the well-known piglet tax.
After the development of the innovative control logic of the DB rail bus, for which PIKO received the Golden Track in 2017, it makes sense to implement the widespread counterpart from East Germany with a corresponding logic with a love of detail.
The railcar is driven by a powerful miniature motor, which is equipped with flywheels for perfect running characteristics and has a factory-installed buffer capacitor for optimal driving characteristics without sound interruptions. The drive acts on both axles of the railcar. The railcars and control cars can be coupled to one another using electrically conductive close coupling kinematics. The lighting functions of both vehicles can be switched separately, and a clear view through the passenger compartments is possible. For example, the traction vehicle automatically registers whether a control car is attached and then switches off the lights between the vehicles.
The factory-installed PIKO SmartDecoder 4.1 Sound for PluX22 of the latest generation masters the data formats DCC with RailComPlus®, Motorola® and Selectrix®. The built-in loudspeaker is precisely matched to the rail bus. Many typical locomotive noises such as engine noise, horns, brake squeal and other switchable functions can be called up individually. With adjustable individual mapping. The tail light can be switched separately. Sound is also possible in analog mode - only engine noise.
