Product Info

Now this jack-of-all-trades of the DB AG is also represented as a PIKO Expert model. The modern design of the locomotive has been reproduced exactly. The single-arm pantographs have been reproduced with extreme filigree. Sharply engraved bogies round off the visual appearance. Brake hoses that can be retrofitted are included to complement the locomotive. A powerful 5-pole motor ensures a free ride. Equipped with two flywheels, the PIKO BR 101 is extremely quiet. Two diagonally mounted traction tires provide traction when moving forward. Technical highlights are the installed cab and driver´s cab lighting. The light changes in red/white depending on the direction of travel, of course, using the latest LED technology. In digital operation, these functions can be switched separately. The sound version is delivered from the factory with a PSD S sound decoder. Another highlight of the BR 101 is the PIKO TrainSound® onboard.
